Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she received her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's law practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She concentrates a large portion of her practice in divorce cases, alimony disputes, divorce property distribution and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, enforcement and post-divorce issues as well as step-parent and private party adoptions as well as issues involving children's welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by the court since 2019 and assists parties in helping to resolve their issues without need for litigation and court involvement. In addition to mediation mandated by the court, Ashley also mediates in private matters for those who want to stay clear of the litigation and court process.

After finishing her undergraduate education at Loyola University of Maryland, where she received dual bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. After graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, securing a spot among the top 10 students in her class. During her time at law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review, showcasing her commitment to legal research and scholarship.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship program, working with prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to work as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014 she returned to her home town of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long at the Washington County Circuit Court, increasing her knowledge of the local legal landscape. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her primary focus was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters pertaining to child welfare. Ashley's tireless efforts played a significant role in helping children who suffered neglect or abuse at care of their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social injustice was not limited to her legal career when she was a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to increase awareness about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the areas of family law - divorce custody, child support and guardianships as well as estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy - and mediation.

Ashley created Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the aim of providing an individual approach to every client's need.
