Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She concentrates the majority of her practice in divorce cases, alimony disputes property distribution in marital relationships and child custody battles. child support arrangements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, enforcement and post-divorce issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions and issues involving children's welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private cases for those who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. Then, she pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students of her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This was a sign of her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship program, working with prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the pleasure of working as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. In 2015, Ashley joined the esteemed law firm of Poole & Kane, P.A. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played at the firm was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Ashley's devoted efforts played a crucial role in helping children who suffered neglect or abuse at the care of their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social justice extended beyond the realm of law since she was actively a board member for the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, which worked hard to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the area of family law - divorce child support, custody, and guardianships - as well in estate planning - wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy - and mediation.
